[...] As we explained in that posting, the licensee of the Multi-Pack Maxi, which Invent-Tech assisted in licensing back in late April 2006 (”Invent-Tech’s efforts instrumental in securing overseas licensing agreement“), had developed an interest in a second product from the Invent-Tech roster. After agreeing to confidentiality, they were sent access to all of the detailed design information on the invention, including the invention website. Pursuant to their review of the confidential details of the product idea, they contacted the Manufacturer Response representative that has been working with them since their original dealings with Invent-Tech and requested to have a conference call with the inventor in order to obtain more insight into the concept.
[...] Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, bringing you our Tuesday night update.
[...] The second company is the same one that we reported on in a February 21st entry (”Invent-Tech begins follow-ups with leads met at Hardware and Construction Expo…“). As we’d mentioned at that point, this Missouri-based company is looking to expand its product lines and their principals were very intrigued by Invent-Tech’s potential to provide them with a constant flow of new inventions. The Manufacturer Response Team member handling their Innovation Direct account accordingly sent them 10 product ideas during the last week in February, and they eventually declined further interest in all of them. However, their second Innovation Direct package has already been prepared and sent to them, as we continue to cultivate what we believe will be a long-term and fruitful relationship.
[...] One of the manufacturers we are alluding to is the same company we most recently reported on in a February 27th entry (”Update: Invent-Tech receives positive response from company on Innovation Direct package sent yesterday…”). In that posting, we explained that the manufacturer contact we were dealing with had already expressed an interest from the company in learning more about 7 of the first 22 ideas they had reviewed from the “super sized” Innovation Direct package we’d sent them earlier in the week, and that we were expecting them to get back to us on the remaining 16 items shortly. They eventually did so, but only expressed further interest in 1 of those 16 inventions. We have accordingly sent them access to all of the detailed design information on the one product, and will await their next decision on all 8 total inventions that they are currently deliberating.
