Invent-Tech’s Interactive Virtual Reality Presentation CD-ROM—an impressive source of invention design data

May 25th, 2006

Invent-Tech’s Sr. Technical Writer here with the last installment in our series of posts providing a more detailed look at Invent-Tech’s services. We have covered the Invention Research Portfolio and Graphic Illustration, the Press Release, the Digital Rendition, Media Packs, Manufacturer Introduction Packages, the Invention Website and the New Product Overview DVD. These tools are each uniquely instrumental towards building awareness and controlled exposure while still maintaining confidentiality, and then disseminating more detailed product information about an invention to interested parties.

In addition to these standard services that are included with every Invention Assistance Plan, inventors may be offered an optional Interactive Virtual Reality Presentation CD-ROM service. The Interactive Virtual Reality Presentation (IVRP) is arguably the most impressive and comprehensive look at a product’s design and intended function. It features a computer-animated 3D, virtual reality demonstration of the invention, along with compiled product details and illustrations—all in an interactive format that can be played on nearly any computer with a typical CD-ROM drive.

As with all other services that divulge proprietary product details, the IVRP is only made available to potential licensing partners who have agreed to Invent-Tech’s strict terms of confidentiality. Once they do, they are unfailingly impressed with the professional, thorough presentation of the invention in this format and will be better able to envision it within the scope of their business.

Our extremely talented in-house team of animators leverages deep experience in invention modeling, and the animations that they produce for our inventors are of the utmost quality. Based upon the individual needs of a project, they can show a rotational view, environmental view and feature-focused view to give potential licensees the complete picture of the invention’s unique qualities, advantages and potential applications. Do not be fooled by imitators, Invent-Tech pioneered the use of interactive virtual reality modeling technology before the turn of the millennium and is the industry’s leader in the field—by a wide margin. Our IVRP is singular in its quality, presentation and effectiveness.

An individual seeking animation services may be surprised to find out how time-consuming and costly they can be. However, an animation’s value in communicating a product’s design is undeniable, as it provides the clearest picture of an invention without actually holding the product in your hands. Particularly when the design is complicated, making it difficult to produce a prototype independently, the animation included within the IVRP allows a company to visualize the product as if it were already manufactured, thereby gaining confidence in their ability to make an informed decision or an offer to license the product.

[…] First, the Preliminary Services Department sends out the Inventor Companion Handbook to every new client. They assign clients’ projects to the writers and graphic designers who prepare marketing tools like the Press Release, Digital Rendition, New Product Overview DVD, and Interactive Virtual Reality Presentation. They keep track of missing documents and paperwork that may slow the pace of services, and register the invention with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’sDisclosure Document Program. Once the preliminary tools are produced, they initiate the production of Media Packs and Manufacturer Introduction Packages. All this begins within the first few weeks of a client contracting with Invent-Tech. […]
