ASI Show always a unique trade show experience for Invent-Tech…
July 12th, 2006
Good afternoon, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our first update from Day 1 of the ASI Show Chicago 2006. ASI, which is the acronym for the Advertising Speciality Institute, accepted Invent-Tech into its membership ranks in 2004, the first year that we attended one of their sponsored trade show events. This organization was created specifically to provide those in the promotional products industry an opportunity to gather each year in various cities and promote their vast array of products.
The event is always a terrific experience for Invent-Tech, because of the considerable diversity of the promotional products industry itself. As defined by ASI, a “promotional product” is essentially any kind of tangible item that could conceivably have a company’s logo placed on it. This means that the show floor is replete with companies specializing in everything from apparel to tools, and that the attendees of the show are equally eclectic.
Day 1 has gotten off to quite a busy start for Invent-Tech. We have had a considerable number of visitors to the booth, and the Innovation Direct™ “fish bowl” where we collect business cards from companies interested in signing up for the service is already getting quite full. We have also had representatives on the trade show floor that have collected business cards from a variety of exhibitors.
Stay tuned throughout the day for more updates from Day 1 of this exciting show!
