Invent-Tech clients add comfort and convenience to the camping experience
July 14th, 2006
In some parts of the country, summer is the only time of year when the weather allows for camping outdoors. The tradition of pitching a tent, cooking meals over an open fire and telling stories long into the night before falling asleep to the music of the crickets appeals to many who enjoy abandoning the confines of urban areas and living in nature.
Yet, just because they choose to live without microwaves, comfortable couches and running water for a while does not mean campers do not seek comfort when living in outdoor settings and convenience from their equipment. Being avid campers themselves, several Invent-Tech inventors have simple ideas that will greatly improve the camping experience.
Blockit, invented by James B., provides a leveling surface for use during outdoor activities, where ground surfaces may not be suitable for setting up a grill, picnic table or campsite. Featuring a lightweight, durable and compact design, this product is convenient to carry along on any outdoor excursion and easy to use.
Blockit offers value and function to the vast group of consumers who enjoy spending time outdoors but wish to enhance their comfort while doing so. It is bound for commercial success through camping equipment retailers, sporting goods stores, department stores, retail supercenters, specialty catalogs and the Internet.
Paul E. and Brad K. frequently take camping trips together. They used to have a hard time getting a campfire going, so they experimented using common objects around the campsite to stoke the fire. Having tremendous success with one of their makeshift methods, the pair developed a specialized version that they introduce to consumers as the Quick Fire.
As the name suggests, the Quick Fire speeds the process of building a campfire. It eliminates the strain of blowing or fanning the fire to strengthen the flames, or using dangerous fire-inducers. With simple application of this inexpensive, specialized tool, campers and others who build fires outdoors or at home free up time for rest and relaxation around the fire. In addition to its purpose as a fire-building aid, the Quick Fire quickens other tasks around a campsite, making it a practical, versatile and appealing accessory.
The AMT, invented by Jacob P., is a breakthrough new outdoor product that integrates all the necessary components for rest and relaxation while camping. With this product, users will not have to purchase camping items that are traditionally sold separately, thereby saving them a great deal of money and car space.
Portable, easy to assemble and affordably priced, the AMT is sure to appeal to camping enthusiasts nationwide. The AMT can be sold at or made available through outlets for camping equipment, including specialty stores, catalogs and the Internet.
