Invent-Tech client and invention licensee have big plans for a versatile kitchen utensil
July 26th, 2006
A potentially lucrative multi-year licensing agreement has been signed between a consumer goods company and Invent-Tech client, Benjamin P. for his invention, the Spatula. The Spatula features a unique yet simple design that will lead people to wonder, “Why didn’t someone think of this sooner?”
The Spatula is a clever new utensil that grants more flexibility and versatility than conventional tools during cooking tasks. It reduces wrist strain by allowing for more natural movement and comfort. This product can cut, chop and easily remove food from pans.
Benjamin, a resident of Alaska, entered into an inventor assistance contract with Invent-Tech in April of 2005. His product was submitted to the licensee through their recurring Innovation Direct™ subscription updates in June 2006. Now, less than a month later, Benjamin has agreed to the terms of the company’s licensing proposal, which include a competitive royalty rate compared to others being paid in the industry.
We are very excited to have had a role in this successful negotiation and look forward to hearing updates about the Spatula’s development in the future. Additional information about the Spatula or any of our other licensed products may be obtained by contacting Invent-Tech® at (800) 940-9020, extension 2280 or at mrt@invent-tech.com.
