Searches through Invent-Tech Datavault™ begin for 2 new Innovation Direct™ packages…

April 11th, 2007

Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, here with our mid-week update. Late today, searches through the Invent-Tech database began for the purpose of putting together the initial Innovation Direct package for the New Jersey-based company we just reported on yesterday (New Jersey-based company with multiple product lines is the latest to become a part of Invent-Tech’s Innovation Direct™ program). Additionally, we will begin putting together our second Innovation Direct package tomorrow for the manufacturer that recently reviewed a substantial number of product ideas from the Invent-Tech database, and that we most recently reported on in an April 9th entry (”Update: Innovation Direct™ company to evaluate Invent-Tech inventor pet accessory until early June…“).

The New Jersey-based company is looking for product ideas with certain characteristics that fall into the categories of household, health and beauty, and travel accessories, just to name a few. We are attempting to send them a manageable number of inventions to begin with, most likely no more than 15, and expect to be able to continue to send additional batches on an ongoing basis. As explained in yesterday’s posting, we will be directly sending them all of the detailed design information on each item immediately, since we already have a non-disclosure agreement on file signed by the company principal. Because of this, we expect to be able to get their impressions that much quicker, which in turn will allow us to send them the next group of innovations in accelerated fashion.

As regular readers of the Invent-Tech Network know, the second company recently turned down 37 out of 38 product ideas that they were sent in their initial Innovation Direct package. While this was not the ideal result, it simply means that Invent-Tech moves on to the next group of product ideas that may fit what they are searching for. This nose-to-the-grindstone approach is vital in the pursuit of an invention to market, and having a short memory with regards to temporary setbacks comes in very handy as well! For Invent-Tech’s purposes, as long as a company lets us know they want to continue receiving product ideas through Innovation Direct, as this company did, then we are right back at work attempting to put the latest sampling of product ideas from our roster in front of them.

Invent-Tech is tireless in its pursuit to put our inventors’ concepts in front of as many companies as possible. Join us tomorrow for more news!
