Adult novelty item, tile cutting accessory latest Invent-Tech inventor products to be the subjects of manufacturer interest…

May 11th, 2007

Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, back with a second update for a busy Friday at the nation’s preeminent invention assistance firm. The focus this week on the Invent-Tech Network has certainly been on trade shows, but there are always other scenarios developing back at the “home front” that certainly merit mention.

Such is the case with two Invent-Tech inventor products that probably couldn’t be more different in category! The first is an adult novelty item that Invent-Tech has been representing for close to 3 years. Although the invention has been the subject of an advanced level of interest from at least one company in the past, no licensing agreement has been reached. This may soon change however, as one of the leading catalog and internet companies in the adult novelty industry has been reviewing the details of the product idea for some time, and is now also reviewing the draft of a licensing agreement sent to them by the Manufacturer Response Team member that has been handling their interest since its onset. In fact, the company representative that we have been dealing with e-mailed the Manufacturer Response Team member today to let him know that he was expecting to have a much firmer answer for Invent-Tech on his company’s intentions by next week. As soon as we have further news, the readers of the Invent-Tech Network will be the first to know.

The second product idea is a tile cutting accessory that has had its design details in the hands of an Illinois-based manufacturer of cutting tools for almost 2 months. The company first became interested in learning more about the invention after receiving preliminary, non-confidential information on it in a Manufacturer Introduction Package early in 2007. After signing the requisite non-disclosure agreement, they were sent a package with access to all of the detailed design information on the invention in mid-March. The Manufacturer Response Team member handling this situation has kept regular telephone contact with the company representative, who has explained that they very well may have an advanced interest in the invention for possible licensing but have been very busy with their current workload. However, in a telephone conversation today, the company representative did inform our Manufacturer Response Team member that he will be talking the matter over with his business partner and will likewise get back to us early next week with more of a definite answer regarding their future intentions.

Invent-Tech’s professional yet tenacious follow-up methods help to keep potential interest alive in the inventions that we are contracted to represent, and these two situations serve to corroborate this! Join us Monday as we kick off another great week!
