Invent-Tech clients develop housewares to improve tasks in the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom

March 15th, 2006

Consumers’ lives are filled with myriad activities that keep them constantly busy. But they always come home to fulfill their basic needs: sleeping, eating and bathing. Therefore, the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom are essential areas of one’s home. Making residents’ lives as convenient as possible when attending to their responsibilities in these rooms should be a top priority for manufacturers—it is to consumers.

In continuing with the momentum of the 2006 International Home and Housewares Show, many of Invent-Tech’s clients have products that fit perfectly toward the aim of granting added convenience to make routine tasks in the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom better.

First thing in the morning, individuals head to the bathroom to get ready for the day. Inventors, Bonnie M. and Mike M. created the Handy Hairbrush to avoid the frantic hunting for a hairbrush, which is common in today’s households. Their 15-year-old daughter, Bethany, was the main inspiration for the invention and helped design the final product. According to the inventors, “We have at least six hairbrushes in our home, but the Handy Hairbrush is the only one we can ever find.”

Many people experience this same frustration, therefore, the Handy Hairbrush is being marketed to ensure they, too, can always find a hairbrush when they need it and can stop buying replacements because they cannot find one. It is easy to use and convenient, offering features that appeal to consumers in our fast-paced society.

Doing dishes is a part of every meal. Therefore, to ease this task in the kitchen, Kathleen W. invented the K. Williams Dish Scrubber. Her product makes hand-washing dishes and glasses more efficient. With its ergonomic, user-friendly design, the K. Williams Dish Scrubber accommodates tableware’s every surface, curve and crevice for a thorough clean.

The K. Williams Dish Scrubber saves time and effort during this tedious task, freeing more time for other responsibilities or, hopefully, relaxation. Consumers who wash their dishes manually will immediately recognize this product’s appeal over current cleaning tools. Consequently, the K. Williams Dish Scrubber has great potential in the marketplace.

When individuals finally make it to their bedroom at night, they prefer to sleep on clean sheets. Changing the sheets, however, is a hassle they would prefer to avoid. Yvonne H.’s Flat Sheet makes changing sheets much easier. While making the bed, Yvonne thought there had to be a better way, which prompted her to come up with the idea for the Flat Sheet.

This useful new product allows an individual to make the bed without lifting the mattress. The Flat Sheet is just the thing for people with back problems or anyone who fears injuring their back by lifting heavy objects. It is easy to use and affordable, offering features that are sure to appeal to a growing market of consumers worldwide.

These are just a few examples of the innovations in Invent-Tech’s repertoire. These original ideas are now available for licensing to manufacturers interested in new product development.
