Three-party licensing agreement secured for Invent-Tech client

Everyone enjoys eating candy every now and then.  Joe P. noticed an employee snacking on candy while sitting at his computer at work.  This led him to create DotComs, which add an entertaining theme to one of the world’s favorite flavors—chocolate.  DotComs are especially fun for computer users but will appeal to almost anyone as a fun twist on a popular snack.

Joe’s high expectations for his idea led him to contract with Invent-Tech in 2004 to pursue production of DotComs.  Two years later, Joe is pleased to have reached a three-party licensing agreement with a chocolate manufacturer, and a marketing and distribution company.

Invent-Tech is prepared to handle licensing negotiations in many ways.  With the signing of a multi-year agreement between these three parties, Invent-Tech demonstrates yet another form that licensing agreements can take.  With each party bringing their expertise to the table, this partnership is expected to be very fruitful.

According to the terms of the agreement, this potentially lucrative multi-year agreement includes an above-average royalty rate for the inventor.  Invent-Tech will also be contracting with an intellectual property attorney in the attempt to secure the appropriate protection for DotComs, such as a patent or trademark.
