Upholstery maker licenses invention from Invent-Tech clients

March 21st, 2006

Invent-Tech’s Manufacturer’s Response Team announces a licensing agreement between inventors, Samuel K. and Tracey C. and an upholstery manufacturer. Their invention, the Dust Stoppers, prevents dust from accumulating on heaters and other surfaces. The Dust Stoppers will save time and money, and provide added health benefits to consumers.

The Dust Stoppers is a natural fit for the company’s product line and production capabilities. The manufacturer is already looking into marketing and distribution avenues to reach the consumer market. With versatile potential applications in homes, offices and buildings worldwide, the manufacturer is excited about the Dust Stoppers’ future prospects.

The potentially lucrative multi-year agreement for the Dust Stoppers required a bit of flexibility and negotiation on the part of Invent-Tech. The finalized version included an upfront acquisition fee and competitive royalty rate for the inventors. Invent-Tech will also be contracting with an intellectual property attorney in the attempt to secure the appropriate protection for the Dust Stoppers, such as a patent or trademark.

Additional information about the Dust Stoppers or any of our other licensed products may be obtained by contacting Invent-Tech® at (800) 940-9020, extension 2280 or at mrt@invent-tech.com.

This was further evidenced today by their e-mail asking our Visual Design Department to provide some packaging design ideas for a couple of different variations of the invention that they are attempting to bring to market before the year is over. They also reported in their e-mail that they are making headway with getting ready for mass production, and the packaging would be one of the steps left to complete before the product is ready to be introduced to consumers.
