Greetings, it’s Alex, Invent-Tech’s Sr. Technical Writer here with our weekly highlight of some fantastic products from Invent-Tech’s invention roster. With the work week more than halfway over, many individuals are already getting excited for the weekend. This weekend is particularly exciting for sports enthusiasts because one of the most popular sporting events of the year will take place—the Super Bowl.
This year’s Super Bowl is being held in Miami, near Coral Gables where Invent-Tech is headquartered, so the fervent celebration of throngs of sports fans will be quite intense around here. However, both here and around the country, sports fans who are not fortunate enough to have tickets to the game plan to get together with family and friend to party and cheer their favorite team to victory. Whether they are rooting in the stands, from their couch or at their local sports bar, their support means everything to the players on the field.
Clearly expressed by the term ‘home field advantage,’ a player’s performance can be influenced nearly as much by the support of their fans as by their muscles and playing skills. Realizing this is true at every level of play, from the children’s league to the professional level, several Invent-Tech clients have invented novel sports paraphernalia that conveys fans’ encouragement and loyalty.
The Heck Novelty Mint, invented by Brandon H. of Kansas, demonstrates sports spirit and loyalty, by enabling individuals to scorn their preferred team’s rivals. Capitalizing on fans’ intense loathing of competitors, this product offers a simple modification to a practical product found in public facilities everywhere. Utilized in any sports arena or similar location, the Heck Novelty Mint will entice and entertain users.
OH HO, invented by Tom B. and Jeff B. of California, replaces flimsy, clumsy paper and cardboard signs that fans often use to show support for their favorite teams and players. This product is fully customizable and modifiable, fun to create, easy to use and convenient to carry.
As the first specialized product of its kind, which applies to all sports at any level, this innovation has great potential with the vast market of sports fanatics. Virtually endless applications secure OH HO’s potential for success through a variety of retail outlets.
The Sports Fight Song, invented by Scott L. of Texas, offers a great product for the avid sport fan while watching a game at home. It enables users to simulate live audio experiences during televised sports events without the annoyance of commercials and commentary. The unique, portable and versatile Sports Fight Song will enhance the viewing experience for those who cannot attend the event in person. By using it, they will feel almost as if they are there.
We have introduced just a few of the sports paraphernalia products our clients have invented. Additional information about the Heck Novelty Mint, OH HO, Sports Fight Song or other products Invent-Tech represents may be obtained by contacting the Publicity/Press Department of Invent-Tech at (800) 940-9020 ext. 2285 or at products@invent-tech.com. Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in for our Tuesday update. Today we were able to secure an advanced level of interest in writing on a personal cleanliness invention from our roster with a company that is also currently giving serious consideration to a kitchen accessory. Additionally, we had discussions with our Visual Design Team regarding the designing of several specialized presentations requested by the company that recently expressed an advanced level of interest in 3 pet-related items.
The aforementioned personal cleanliness item was first inquired about by the manufacturer several weeks ago. After agreeing to confidentiality, they were sent a package of all of the detailed design information that we had on the invention. They have now put their intent to explore the potential of this product further in writing, and will apparently be considering it as a possible long-term fit for their company. This is in addition to the interest they have already shown in a kitchen accessory from our roster, a scenario that we most recently reported on in a November 28th entry (”Invent-Tech receives positive news from company evaluating kitchen accessory; advanced level of interest secured on tool invention…“). We will obviously be keeping close tabs on this latest interest they have displayed, and will bring you updates as they happen, here on the Invent-Tech Network.
Meanwhile, the company that had expressed an advanced level of interest in 3 pet items last week, and that we had reported on in a January 25th entry (”Invent-Tech secures advanced level of interest in several pet products; further dialogue occurs with European company interested in kitchen accessory…) requested that our Visual Design Team put together virtual reality presentations for the 3 inventions to aid in the evaluation process. Accordingly, the talented team of animators at Invent-Tech that specialize in creating this cutting-edge work have been diligently consulting with the inventors of these items in order to create the highest quality renditions possible. One of the presentations is already complete, and the other two are close to being ready to be sent to the inventors for approval as well. Once all of the presentations have been given the green light by the inventors, they will be shipped to the manufacturer.
Once again, Invent-Tech inventors benefit from having a team of professionals in virtually all aspects of invention assistance at their disposal! Join us tomorrow as we bring you more news!

Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, back as promised to kick off what we hope will be yet another successful week for Invent-Tech and its clients. We are currently in the midst of discussing a second licensing agreement on the Manifold, an invention that already had its European rights acquired in a deal that we assisted in bringing to fruition in June 2006.
We had most recently reported on this auto accessory in a July 7th entry (”A look back at Invent-Tech’s record breaking licensing week…“), when we provided an overview of what had been a memorable stretch of licensing agreements that were secured in late June 2006. As we’d mentioned in that posting, we were still actively negotiating a deal for North American exclusivity for the Manifold with a different company from the one that had just secured the European rights to it. Flashing forward several months, we have been in recent dialogue with the inventor and that company’s representative, and have gotten to the point where we have already sent the company the draft of a licensing agreement to review.
The Manufacturer Response Team representative handling this situation will continue to maintain close contact with the potential licensee over the next few days in order to work out any possible obstacles to the signing of the agreement. It is instances like this incidentally, that vividly corroborate the value and leverage of having a group of experienced inventor assistance professionals on one’s side when pursuing the goal of trying to get one’s product idea to the consumer market. In this case, Invent-Tech has been able to secure a potentially profitable deal for this inventor on one side of the Atlantic, and is now in the process of hopefully accomplishing the same for him “across the pond”, so to speak!
Stay tuned to the Invent-Tech Network for updates on this and many other situations. Join us tomorrow!

Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with a Friday evening update to cap off a very busy and productive week. Today, we took another positive step in our conversations with a company that has been displaying interest in an aquarium accessory from the Invent-Tech roster, and also spoke with two companies that have expressed an interest in joining our Innovation Direct™ program as a result of positive impressions they’ve formed of Invent-Tech!
The aquarium accessory is the same invention we recently reported on in a January 22nd entry (”Invent-Tech discussing licensing for aquarium accessory; specialized apparel product to be the subject of possible conference call tomorrow…“). As we’d reported in that posting, the company and the representative of the Manufacturer Response Team handling the situation had been discussing licensing and possible terrritories that the manufacturer felt they would be able to potentially sell the product in. While the company is not yet able to enter into a long-term licensing commitment, they have put their intent to explore the market potential of the product on a regional basis in writing, and have requested exclusivity in doing so. The inventor is in agreement with this arrangement, as they feel there may be potential success down the line with this company. This will be an evolving situation for some time, and we will bring you the latest as it happens here on the Invent-Tech Network.
Regarding the two companies that contacted us about working with us on an ongoing basis, we are particularly proud of how each company became aware of Invent-Tech: One had met us at the National Hardware Show 2006 and had held on to our business cards since that event; the other had recently received a package of detailed design information on one of the inventions in our product roster and was so impressed with our materials and overall product presentation, they felt compelled to contact us about working with us further. We spoke with both companies about our overall confidentiality policies, as well as our licensing goals. Both were also briefed on our dynamic new product subscription service, Innovation Direct™, and have expressed an interest in becoming a part of the program. We look forward to what will hopefully be long-term mutually beneficial relationships with these two entities.
This is yet another tangible example of both Invent-Tech’s trade show presence and inventor assistance methodologies casting a positive and impactful impression on our all-important “target audience”—manufacturers with the need for new product ideas and the capabilities and resources to develop and market them effectively!
Thank you for being part of the Invent-Tech Network this week. Join us Monday as we embark on another successful mission to serve our inventors!
January 26th, 2007
Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our Thursday update. As the week draws to a close, we continue to see new and exciting opportunities emerge for inventions on our roster. Additionally, we also had another dialogue today with the Managing Director of the European company that we recently reported had an interest in a kitchen accessory.
We began the day with news that a company that had recently signed non-disclosure agreements on several pet products from the Invent-Tech database was particularly interested in exploring the potential of three of these items further after viewing their invention websites. This is the same company that has been instrumental in the securing of licensing agreements for the Lettuce Lopper, Cookie Slicer, Serving Spoon, and Lighted Santa Hat in the past 18 months. This time around, they are working closely with a company that has the brand license of a highly rated pet cable television show, and that has an inside track with one of the world’s largest retail conglomerates for distribution. Accordingly, they sent us a request to scour the Invent-Tech database for inventions that fit the criteria they specified, and we provided them with the group of items from which they selected the aforementioned 3 pet inventions that they have expressed an advanced level of interest in. As we always emphasize, we have no way of knowing if any or all of these will eventually be the next Invent-Tech licensing success story, but have high hopes based on what has transpired so far.
Secondly, updating a scenario that we first reported on in a January 19th entry (”Invent-Tech receives advanced level of interest in kitchen accessory from European company…“), I did receive an e-mail response today from the Managing Director of the company mentioned in that posting requesting that we speak next Wednesday, January 31st. The company remains very excited about the prospects of the item and the contact reiterated their particular desire to market and distribute the item in the future. Next week’s discussion will center on matters related to the further research and development the product idea still requires before even prototyping is possible, as well as possible sources the company can utilize in the future for ongoing manufacturing. This situation continues to unfold, and we will bring you updates as they are available, here on the Invent-Tech Network.
We wrap up yet another successful and productive week tomorrow. Join us here for the latest!

If you are a regular reader of the Invent-Tech Network, you may have noticed that we include an entry about products on our invention roster that are tied to a theme every week. Generally, they have something to do with topics in the news, or holidays and events in the near future.
You may have wondered who writes these entries, so I would like to introduce myself. My name is Alex, and I am Invent-Tech’s Senior Technical Writer. In addition to these product-focused entries, I sometimes write historical entries about famous inventors and inventions, entries about Invent-Tech’s departments and services, and major company announcements.
The main subject of Juan Blanco’s entry yesterday was a dental product that was recently licensed. It reminded me that some inventions are geared toward everyday living, and their development and availability can be taken for granted. Yet, improving products that are used in nearly every household on a daily basis can have the most impact on improving lives. Beginning with the theme that Juan’s entry introduced yesterday, Invent-Tech represents many more beneficial oral care products.
Many people have a hard time learning the right technique for brushing their teeth. This can lead to poor oral health. For some, brushing too hard is the problem; for others, it’s brushing too soft. Judy S., a resident of New York, created Brush Lite to help consumers with their dental care routine.
This clever new invention teaches individuals how to brush their teeth properly without causing harm to their gums and tooth enamel. It is a great learning tool for those with disabilities and young children. Consumers will notice the superior health of their mouths and avoid frustrating visits to the dentist.
Walking Floss, invented by Jai W. of California, makes floss constantly and conveniently accessible to ensure proper dental hygiene. Most people hear from their dentist that they should floss more. This breakthrough new idea enables them to follow their dentist’s orders whenever and wherever they have the chance.
Walking Floss would attract the general consumer for its simple convenience, though dental offices or related product manufacturers using this innovation as an advertising opportunity are a viable secondary market. With such a vast and varied group of potential consumers, Walking Floss should have no trouble tapping into the market through any outlet that sells dental products.
Bad breath, halitosis, no matter how you put it, it stinks! Gums, mints and sprays can only do so much. Now, thanks to an inventor from Alabama, a clever new product is available to prevent foul-smelling breath.
Check Your Breath, created by Brenda G., alerts users when their breath is less than pleasant. It is a practical product that is sure to benefit a wide market of consumers. It eliminates embarrassment when on a date, interview or during everyday conversation. Additionally, Check Your Breath is affordable, simple to use and helps promotes good dental hygiene and fresh breath.
We have introduced just a few of the beneficial oral care products our clients have invented. Additional information about the Brush Lite, Walking Floss, Check Your Breath or other products Invent-Tech represents may be obtained by contacting the Publicity/Press Department of Invent-Tech at (800) 940-9020 ext. 2285 or at products@invent-tech.com. Invent-Tech® is a Coral Gables, Florida-based firm that is handling the publicity and public relations for these innovations.

Good Tuesday evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with the latest news on what was a very productive second day of our work week. Not only did we kick off the day with some interesting developments regarding one of the products we have previously assisted in licensing, we also took the next step in our dialogue with the company that has had an interest in a specialized apparel accessory from our roster.
We received a call today from the North Carolina-based licensee of the Help and Care At The Dentist invention, a product idea that we had originally assisted in licensing in October 2006 and that we most recently reported on in a November 10th entry (”Invent-Tech receives updates on several previously licensed products; previously licensed Buck Fighter invention to have provisional patent filed…”). As we’d stated at that time, the licensee was already involved in serious discussions with a major dental products distributor regarding the item. Those talks incidentally, are still ongoing, and the company has high hopes for a successful outcome to them in the near future. However, there are positive developments beyond this as well.
The licensee, which has a proprietary technology that they are implementing into the inventor’s idea to enhance the overall functionality and marketability of it, has received word from a major cable network that the technology itself will be one of the featured topics in a May installment of a highly-rated series they produce and air that features inventions and innovations that enhance modern-day life. The licensee also informed us that on the show, they plan to demonstrate how their technology will work with several different products, one of which may very well be our inventor’s item! While they made sure to emphasize that nothing was solidified yet in terms of which products will be used, this is certainly a very encouraging sign nonetheless. At the very least, we definitely know that this company is working diligently on developing the invention further, and it is doubtlessly a high priority within their organization at this time. As customary, we will keep you posted on additional developments should they occur, here on the Invent-Tech Network.
Also, as we’d reported in our entry yesterday, we had a call tentatively scheduled for today with the company that has been expressing an interest in a specialized apparel accessory from our invention roster. I spoke personally with one of the principals of the company today and went over our licensing goals in detail. The company is interested in reviewing the rough prototype of the invention that the inventor has, and they will most likely get a chance to do this first-hand in the near future. In the meantime however, the contact at the company I spoke with explained that he would broach the topic at today’s afternoon meeting with his board of directors, and would then get back to us later in the week. We will bring you any updates on this situation as well as soon as we have them.
The week is already off to a momentous start. Join us tomorrow for more!
January 23rd, 2007
Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, here to kick off the week. We got off to a running start today by discussing an aquarium accessory from the Invent-Tech roster with a company that has been expressing interest in it recently, and also prepared for a possible conference call tomorrow to discuss a specialized apparel product further.
A detailed package of information on the aforementioned aquarium accessory has been in the hands of a company for several weeks, and today, the Manufacturer Response Team representative handling this scenario discussed a regional licensing agreement for the invention with them. While the manufacturer is not quite ready to make a licensing commitment just yet, they have stated their plans to do some further market research on the potential of the invention for the next several weeks before making a final decision on whether not it will be a long-term fit with their plans. While there is no guarantee of the eventual outcome, it certainly appears that this company will give the invention a serious and detailed look for the time being.
Additionally, we also will be discussing the potential fit of a specialized apparel accessory in a Montana-based company’s product line tomorrow with their representatives. This is the same invention and the same company that we last discussed in a January 14th entry (”Invent-Tech closes out SHOT Show 2007 with a bang…“) during SHOT Show 2007. As we mentioned in that post, we attempted to meet with the manufacturer during the event, but the busy schedules of both companies prevented that from taking place. However, as we’d also stated, we would be following up by telephone after the show with the company, hence the scheduled call for tomorrow. We will bring you an update here on the Invent-Tech Network with the outcome of that telephone meeting later this week.
Join us tomorrow for more news!
January 22nd, 2007
Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with an update to wrap up our busy and fruitful week. I have just finished exchanging correspondence with the Managing Director of a major appliance company in England that had written a letter of interest regarding a kitchen accessory from the Invent-Tech roster.
The company had been sent a package of detailed design information on the invention after having signed a non-disclosure agreement several weeks ago. They then sent us the letter expressing a desire to find out more about the inner workings and components of the product, as well as discussing their existing distribution territories where a product such as this one could be sold. Additionally, they are also stating their desire to discuss the product and our licensing goals more in detail in the near future.
We have informed the company that we would like to ideally set up a telephone meeting between them, the inventor, and Invent-Tech at some point next week. As this is still a developing and fluid situation, we have no way of knowing what will eventually transpire, but are enthused about the approach the manufacturer has taken so far. As always, we will keep you updated on the latest, here on the Invent-Tech Network.
Join us Monday as we kick off what will be another great week!
January 19th, 2007
Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with a Thursday update. Good news on previously licensed Invent-Tech inventor products seemed to be the order of the day today.
To begin with, we received written feedback via e-mail from the inventor of the Batting Buddy, a sports accessory that we assisted in licensing in August 2006 and that we most recently had reported on back in a January 4th entry (”Invent-Tech receives professional prototype of previously licensed product…“). As we’d mentioned in that post, we were going to be shipping the prototype sample the licensee had recently sent us to the inventor for his review. After having received the unit, the inventor apparently took the prototype out to a local park in his area and allowed several kids to actually test the baseball-related instructional accessory with terrific results. We have communicated this feedback to the licensee, who is pleased but is still searching for possible alternative materials to make the finished product from in order to reduce the per unit cost for ongoing manufacturing. As this situation continues to develop, we will keep you posted on it here on the Invent-Tech Network.
Additionally, we also spoke today to the licensee of the DotComs, the snack food accessory that we have reported on in this space numerous times, most recently on October 25th (”Previously licensed Invent-Tech product selling in Wal-Mart and Kroger food stores…“). As we detailed in that momentous posting, the product was already selling in some Wal-Mart stores in Illinois, as well as many Krogers locations throughout several states. According to the latest information from the licensee, they have now expanded the product’s presence to additional Krogers locations, as well as two major gas station chains, Citgo and Hess. We have also been informed that there are ongoing negotiations with another major retail conglomerate to begin carrying the product in select locations on a regional basis.
Needless to say, we are very pleased with the progress that this previously licensed product is making towards commercial success, and will continue to keep tabs on further developments with it here on the Invent-Tech Network.
Join us tomorrow as we wrap up a great week!
January 18th, 2007
Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our Wednesday update. While our most recent focus has rightfully been on the extravaganza that was the SHOT Show, we also have been hard at work back at home base as usual, fielding interest on product ideas from the Invent-Tech roster.
One such example unfolded today. I personally had an extensive conversation with a game products manufacturer who has been in business for over 10 years and is interested in learning more about a new game idea from the Invent-Tech roster, as well as in receiving game ideas from us on an ongoing basis. I went over Invent-Tech’s confidentiality policies and licensing goals, all of which the manufacturer was amenable to. In fact, the contact at the company, which is also the founder and CEO, explained that they have entered into licensing agreements throughout the years with a number of inventors and have no aversion to paying royalties for good product ideas.
After our conversation, the manufacturer promptly faxed me the signed non-disclosure agreement for the specific invention that he had originally contacted us about, and a package of detailed design information on the idea will be on its way to him by tomorrow. The manufacturer expressed intrigue in what he was able to learn about the product through the preliminary, non-confidential information he was recently sent in one of our Manufacturer Contact Kits, and is looking forward to determining whether it will be a good long-term fit for his company. As always, we will keep you posted on any developments, here on the Invent-Tech Network.
This serves as yet another example of the effectiveness that Invent-Tech’s methods have in garnering responses from the appropriate companies. We are always pleased to see tangible evidence of the inroads that our processes can create for the different inventions on our roster.
Join us tomorrow for more positive news!
January 17th, 2007
The 2007 red carpet season began with the Golden Globe awards broadcast on January 15, 2007. Last year’s event drew 19 million reported viewers, while other events such as the Academy Awards and the Emmy’s drew even bigger audiences. Although awards shows such as these are produced to honor the best of the best in arts and entertainment media, many of those who tune in are less interested in who wins than what they choose to wear on the red carpet.
Among the crisp tuxedos, posh couture and outlandish outfits, the true jewels of the red carpet are, frankly, the jewels themselves. Celebrities are often chosen to model some of the rarest and most precious jewels made by the most prestigious designers. Jewelry lovers know that red carpet events are a chance to see some stunning pieces.
Although most people will never wear nor own million-dollar jewels like those worn on the red carpet, preventing damage to their jewelry is important to those who have invested any amount of money in pieces that they find special or meaningful. In aid, Invent-Tech clients have created improved jewelry storage solutions that these consumers will marvel over.
For jewelry owners seeking improved security and organization, Carolyn M. of Alabama created a product she calls the Slim Display. She needed a way to arrange her jewelry and hair accessories and recognized that others likely had a similar need.
This handy device is ideal for traveling, since it helps eliminate clutter by arranging items neatly. The Slim Display makes it simple to find items and prevents them from tangling or breaking. This product is sure to appeal to women and girls everywhere who own a lot of jewelry pieces and hair accessories.
On The Hook, invented by LATR of Florida, provides organized storage for jewelry. This product keeps necklaces and bracelets from tangling and displays each piece for easy selection. On The Hook will undoubtedly appeal to anyone who seeks an easy, attractive way to care for their jewelry. Featuring an inexpensive design, this appealing accessory will recommend itself to women as well as gift-givers through outlets for jewelry or household goods.
Finally, the All In One Necessity Bust, invented by Sherry D. and Darrell T. of Kentucky, provides a convenient travel accessory and New Age armoire for a woman. This product keeps personal items, such as jewelry, cosmetics, clothing, shoes and more, safe and readily accessible, with added conveniences for women on the go. It features a compact and portable design to be taken anywhere the user needs to be.
But there’s more . . . the All In One Necessity Bust is dual-purpose. This artistically designed accessory can be used as a New Age armoire, adorning any bedroom or vanity with elegance. Its advantage gives users additional floor space and, at the same time, organizes jewelry with equivalent capacity to a floor-standing jewelry chest. Females of all ages will appreciate its availability for protected transport of their personal items.
We have introduced just a few of the valuable innovations our clients have invented to aid in safe storage of luxury items for those with red-carpet style. Additional information about the Slim Display, On The Hook, All In One Necessity Bust or other products Invent-Tech represents may be obtained by contacting the Publicity/Press Department of Invent-Tech at (800) 940-9020 ext. 2285 or at products@invent-tech.com. Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with an update to kick off the week. We have received word of some advanced interest in a hunting accessory from the Invent-Tech roster, and also welcomed back our Manufacturer Response Team staff from SHOT Show 2007 today.
The manufacturer expressing an interest in the hunting accessory originally contacted Invent-Tech several weeks ago after receiving the preliminary, non-confidential information on the invention in one of our Manufacturer Contact Kits. After agreeing to the terms of our non-disclosure agreement, the manufacturer was sent a package of detailed design information on the idea. We now have indication that they plan to evaluate the potential of this product further for the immediate future, in order to reach a decision on whether they will eventually enter into a licensing agreement on the product. As customary, we will bring you news of any positive developments with this situation, here on the Invent-Tech Network.
Also today, we welcomed back our Manufacturer Response Team contingent that attended the spectacular 2007 edition of the SHOT Show. This week will mark the beginning of our follow-up process with the companies encountered at the event, which were numerous. Later this week, we also expect to have a full array of photos from the show on our website, www.invent-tech.com.
Join us tomorrow for the latest!
January 15th, 2007
Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our final update from Orlando, Florida and SHOT Show 2007. I’ve just gotten off the phone with our team back at the event, who have finished the final breakdown of our exhibit booth and are headed back home.
The final day continued to be a productive one at the Invent-Tech booth. Initial reports indicate that we have secured an above-average number of leads from the event, which we will begin to filter through beginning tomorrow. Incidentally, we also did attempt to meet again with the one exhibitor who had expressed an interest in seeing us at their booth, but found that he was once again unavailable. However, we will be conducting follow-up by telephone once we are back in our offices.
Overall, SHOT Show 2007 was another positive trade show experience for Invent-Tech, and we may very well keep the event on our itinerary for 2008. In the meantime, we begin preparations for our inaugural appearance as an exhibitor in a Latin American trade show next month, when we will be part of the Hardware Expo and Construction Products Show in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Join us tomorrow on the Invent-Tech Network for the latest news from the office, and thank you for joining us throughout the weekend!
January 14th, 2007
Good afternoon, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our first update on this final day of SHOT Show 2007.
I spoke briefly with our Manufacturer Response Team personnel manning the Invent-Tech booth, who informed me that as expected, this morning and early afternoon have been steadily busy at the Orange County Convention Center. We have continued to gather leads at the booth from various companies, and plan to make at least one more “tour” around the trade show floor in order to network with more of our fellow exhibitors.
Join us this evening for a final wrap-up of Day 4 and SHOT Show 2007 in general!
January 14th, 2007
Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our second and final installment for what was an extremely busy Day 3 of SHOT Show 2007.
As we mentioned in today’s earlier entry, the pace at the Invent-Tech booth was quite brisk to say the least. A constant flow of traffic yielded a substantial number of new manufacturing and marketing leads from a host of different industries. As customary, we will begin the significant but crucial task of sorting through all of them in detail when Invent-Tech personnel return back to the office at the beginning of next week.
As promised earlier today, we have included photos above that capture some of the “action” we’ve been describing! Click on the thumbnails for larger images.
Although the event wraps up tomorrow, if today’s attendance figures are any indication, there will be no “last day letdown” whatsoever in the aisles of the Orange County Convention Center. Join us tomorrow here on the Invent-Tech Network for all the news!
January 13th, 2007
Good afternoon, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our first update from Day 3 of SHOT Show 2007. Today’s first installment admittedly comes a bit further into the day than normal, but this is due to the considerable amount of booth traffic that has kept all Invent-Tech personnel at the show even busier than usual!
There have apparently been no shortage of visitors to the Invent-Tech booth this morning and afternoon, as the weekend portion of the SHOT Show has apparently brought with it a whole new second wave of attendees to the proceedings. Among the many companies that the Invent-Tech trade show team has spoken to today have been multiple manufacturers dealing with hunting artillery. A number of these companies have expressed a very strong interest in Invent-Tech’s Innovation Direct™ service and in establishing an ongoing relationship with our company in general.
Additionally, I am informed that some photos from the first 3 days of the event will be e-mailed to me later today. Therefore, check back this evening for our final wrap-up of Day 3 and some of the images from our booth!
January 13th, 2007
Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our final update for Day 2 of the SHOT Show. Our Manufacturer Response Team members attending the show closed out today’s proceedings by taking an extensive tour of the SHOT Show’s security and law enforcement products section of exhibitors.
The foray through this portion of the event took over an hour, and included several detailed conversations between exhibitors and Invent-Tech personnel regarding Invent-Tech’s invention roster and the exhibitors’ policies on confidentiality and accepting product ideas from external sources. In the end, Invent-Tech certainly walked away armed with multiple new contacts that we hope will be of eventual benefit to a number of product ideas on our roster.
Traditionally, the weekend portion of the SHOT Show does not bring reduced attendance with it, so we expect a busy Day 3 tomorrow. Join us for updates here on the Invent-Tech Network!
January 12th, 2007
Good afternoon, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our second update for Day 2 of SHOT Show 2007. The hot streak at the Invent-Tech booth has continued this afternoon according to my colleagues attending the event, as a number of additional companies have stopped by.
One firm in particular that expressed a very strong interest in Innovation Direct™ and Invent-Tech in general is a Canadian company specializing in the manufacturing and marketing of a number of different types of household products. The Manufacturer Response Team representative who spoke to them at the booth provided them with full details of the type of product ideas Invent-Tech deals with, as well as our confidentiality policies. The company representative seemed to indicate that Invent-Tech’s policies present no problems for their company, and are looking forward to establishing an ongoing relationship.
This is yet another tangible example of how we often meet companies from a wide variety of industries that may be completely independent of the central theme of the trade show.
Join us later this evening for a final wrap-up of Day 2!

Good morning/afternoon, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our first update regarding Day 2 of SHOT Show 2007. I’ve just gotten off the phone with the Manufacturer Response Team representatives attending the event, and received a positive update on the early hours of Day 2 of the show.
For starters, some of our personnel at the event have been spending time on the trade show floor this morning networking with other exhibitors. The event is actually spread over 2 levels, and Invent-Tech was canvassing the ground floor earlier today. As customary, a number of business cards were exchanged with companies who expressed a willingness to receive product ideas from the Invent-Tech roster of inventions.
Additionally, we also have continued to experience a steady flow of traffic at the Invent-Tech booth. One of the companies that dropped in so far today specializes in certain accessories for hunting weaponry and firearms, and is open to receiving any ideas that Invent-Tech can send them related to these areas. We have also continued to meet with representatives from a variety of other companies.
We are hoping to have some photos from the show before the end of the day that we can post. Check back with the Invent-Tech Network later this afternoon!
